Boulder Mountain Fall Panorama 108" x 44"

Boulder Mountains in the Fall - near Sun Valley, Idaho

I wanted to make large wall hanging and still have it maintain a high resolution so that it could be viewed up close. I achieved this resolution by combining 62 individual images into a 4-level panorama using Lightroom Classic and Photoshop tools. This is not a composite but is edited for lighting and to make the panorama appear seamless. This was the scene on the day I captured the images.

The images were captured using Really Right Stuff pano gear and tripod and my Canon R5 with the RF 24-70mm f2.8L IS at 50mm, 1/800 sec at f8, ISO 250. I used the high shutter speed to make certain to eliminate any motion induced blur from wind. It was not a real windy day, but I wanted the entire scene to be in sharp focus.

The image is printed on Breathing Color Lyve Canvas as a triptych at 300 pixels per inch and measures 108" x 44" overall. I printed it on my Canon Pro-4000 44" wide printer as three panels, each 36" x 44".
A zoomed in section of the mountain is shown below to illustrate the high resolution obtained by combining the 62 images into a single image.
